There was a debate over Griffin or Andrew Luck in 2012.

There was a debate over Griffin or Andrew Luck in 2012. and there was also debate about Jameis Winston or Madden 24 coins Marcus Mariota last year, but this is a completely different debate. Those were highly touted prospects battling to be considered the best. This is a crop of potential candidates, and nobody is sure which one has the best potential to be great.

Last week, Bill Barnwell of ESPN discussed how in the lottery-like draft "the most efficient strategy is to be able to win additional tickets." The RG3 trade was perhaps the most successful example ever, and the losers from that deal seem to be willfully ignoring that lesson. It could be that it works out but the Rams must be aware.

The Chargers might be able to trade Philip Rivers, but they'd probably make the mistake of a trade too.

LaDainian Tomlinson suggests that the Chargers should trade Philip Rivers. The Chargers are in rebuilding mode and need to trade Philip Rivers instead of ruin the rest of his career. Are they realistic?

It makes some sense on the surface of things. The Chargers are, again an absolute mess, losing three games in a gruelling way after blowing leads in the fourth quarter. Rivers isn't the main cause of the issue. He's completing 68 percent of the passes he throws, 7.8 yards per attempt with 1.110 yards. He has seven touchdowns, and one interception.

The Chargers signed Rivers to a four-year, $83 million extension this year, however the structure of the deal doesn't make it prohibitive for trading him. The cap doesn't reach $22 million until last year, but it's simple for teams to wiggle out of after 2018.

Then again, the Chargers really, really need every bit of support they could get ... which they're lacking after suffering so much losses recently including the Bosa protest and that all-consuming threatening of relocation. If they can get rid of Mike McCoy and make the mut 24 coins for sale necessary changes in this offseason they could be back in the game sooner than you think. It's a big chance for an organization that hasn't accomplished much positive either on or off the field.
