In this Diablo 4 guide, we’ll tell you how and where to find the Tortured Gifts of Mysteries scattered around the Fractured NBA 2K MT Coins Peaks, Scosglen, the Dry Steppes, Kehjistan, and Hawezar.
There are multiple Tortured Gift of Mysteries that spawn over the course of each Helltide’s life — we’ve been able to get two in a single hour. But unlike the rest of the Tortured Gifts, the Tortured Gift of Mysteries won’t show up on your map. You’ll have to run around the entirety of the Helltide looking for it.
Thankfully, when you get close to a Tortured Gift of Mysteries, it will appear (briefly) on your minimap. We highly recommend that once you’ve found it, you use the Pin feature of your map on the Tortured Gift of Mysteries to help lockdown and remember its location. You should strive to find the location of your local Tortured Gift of Mysteries first before going off to farm Aberrant Cinders.
Reddit user cloudeightk made an incredible map — which we’ve linked above — that shows all the potential spawn locations for the Tortured Gifts of Mysteries. If you see a Helltide pop up, check the map first to give you an idea of where to look.
Finding and opening a Tortured Gift of Mysteries should be your biggest priority in every Helltide you come across. This chest may be random, but it drops very high-powered gear for your level and has a high chance to drop multiple Legendaries at once. It even seems to have a higher chance at dropping Unique items — the best rarity in the game.
It’s important to keep in mind, however, that at 175 Aberrant Cinders, this chest is pretty expensive — a full 25 more than the weapon chest and 100 Cheap 2K MT more than the armor chests. If you’re struggling in a Helltide on your current World Tier, it may be wise to skip the expensive chest until things are a bit easier for you. Otherwise you could spend an hour trying to gather enough Aberrant Cinders only to lose half of them just before opening the chest.
